Something about negative space draws me in. I like how the photo subject truly is the subject. It makes you wonder what will be fixed in those bowls or what's inside that little pitcher. The stark whiteness of the negative space in the berry image makes the colors pop all the more. Negative space is clean and simple. I think I tend to use it the most out of all the compositional elements and I use it unknowingly until I look at the image on the computer. These were simple photographs to make, all using natural light, the berry picture only a reflector and diffuser were used to help combat the slight shadow caused by the window.
