As we were leaving for our adventure on the Lower Buffalo River Sunday morning, we drove past this wonderful looking building on the far east of Fayetteville. I sent a text to myself as a reminder to come back and photograph it later in the week. Yesterday morning, before running a couple errands to the garden center and meeting a friend for lunch, I remembered that reminder text and drove over to east Fayetteville with my camera and took this wonderful building's portrait. I looked up the building's name, Zion Oak Grange, hoping for a little bit of history, and discovered that it's part of an organization called The Grange, established back in the late 1800's dedicated to preserving agricultural and rural areas of America.
Who knew? But it was fun discovering something new in my hometown. Now, if the building could only talk . . .
